Dear Parents and Students,
We would like to thank you for your support at our Book Fair and Fall Family Fun Night and also our Reading and Character Breakfast. We had a great turn out. The funds that were raised will be used to support our needs throughout this school year. Our PTA implements projects that support instruction in the classrooms and we are very appreciative for the success of our students.
The next School Advisory Committee (SAC) meeting at 6:00 p.m. is on Monday,December 1, 2008.
As we are preparing for the holiday season please encourage your child to read each night during the Thanksgiving and Winter break. This will help accelerate their academic process thereby giving them the skills to be successful in life. Also, please help your child learn the mathematics facts. Just ten minutes a day will make a positive difference in their knowledge of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
We would also like to encourage you to become involved in your child’s education. You can do so by joining the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and by volunteering at our school. To volunteer, complete the online ADDitions application. The time you spend will be well worth the investment!
May you and yours have a joyous holiday season and a happy new year.
Mrs. Cynthia Drayton, Principal
Ms. Delaine Bender, Assistant Principal
